Clinical Pilates at Finesse Movement
Personalised, professional movement support for pain, injury, and complex conditions
At Finesse Movement, we understand that some bodies need a more specialised approach to movement. Whether you’re recovering from injury, managing a long-term condition, or feeling anxious about returning to exercise, our Clinical Pilates service is designed to meet you where you are — safely, effectively, and with expert care.
What is Clinical Pilates?
Clinical Pilates is a more targeted, individualised form of Pilates used to support rehabilitation, address specific health conditions, or provide a safer introduction to movement for those who may not feel confident joining a group class.
We offer two distinct Clinical Pilates pathways, depending on your needs:

Do you have foot or heel pain?
- Is it worse in the morning?
- Have you been told that you have a ‘tendinitis” or plantar fasciitis?
- Have you done lots of painful treatments with home care exercises only for the pain to remain the same or come back worse than before?
- Have you taken pain meds that turn your stomach?
We can help!
With our non invasive treatment we can help get:
- The pep in your step again.
- Jumping out of bed with no pain.
- And back to enjoying life!
- Have you taken pain meds that turn your stomach?

Physio-Led Clinical Pilates
For pain, injury, and complex medical conditions
Led by one of our Physio-Rehab team, this service blends expert clinical assessment with movement-based rehabilitation. Ideal for:
- Back, neck or joint pain
- Post-operative rehabilitation (e.g. hip/knee replacements)
- Prolapse, urinary incontinence or pelvic pain
- Osteoporosis or osteoarthritis
- Hyper-mobility or spinal instability
- Pre/postnatal recovery (especially with abdominal separation or pelvic floor issues)
- Neurological or complex conditions requiring clinical oversight
You’ll begin with a 1:1 consultation so we can assess your medical history, current symptoms, and movement patterns. From there, we’ll design a tailored Reformer Pilates plan to support your recovery or health goals.
🕒 Available as 1:1 sessions. Please call for appointment times

Non-Physio-Led Clinical Pilates
For those needing personalised support but without a current injury
This option is perfect if you:
- Are new to movement or returning after a long break
- Feel anxious about joining a group class due to age, fitness level, or health concerns
- Have a history of injury and want reassurance you're moving safely
- Want a gentler, lower-intensity introduction to Reformer Pilates
- Are focused on prevention and staying mobile, strong and pain-free
These sessions are led by highly trained, experienced Pilates instructors who work closely with our physiotherapy team, but who are not Coru Registered, & therefore not allowable in your Health Insurance.
You’ll receive the same tailored attention, a slower pace, and hands-on support.
🕒 Available as 1:1 Please call for appointment times.

Why Choose Clinical Pilates Over a Group Class?
While our group Reformer Pilates classes are fantastic for general fitness, strength and wellbeing, Clinical Pilates is the better choice if you:
- Need help navigating pain or previous injuries
- Have been advised to avoid certain movements
- Feel unsure or self-conscious about exercising in a group
- Are looking for a more personalised, supportive experience
- Want a structured bridge between physiotherapy and regular exercise
Ready to Feel Better in Your Body?
Whether you need a physiotherapist’s clinical eye or just a bit more care and guidance than a general class can offer, our Clinical Pilates team is here to help you move with confidence.
