Meet Our New Therapist: David Mimnagh

My interest in people’s rehabilitation and pain started from a young age. I was always competitive growing up, playing multiple sports. When I got injured myself I wanted to know why it had happened, how I could recover, and what could I do to prevent it from happening again!

That led me to college where I studied Sports Rehabilitation and Athletic Therapy. During my studies my own brother suffered an ACL tear which needed surgery. The experience I gained helping him through his rehab was invaluable. I love dealing with injury rehabilitation, particularly knee surgeries and other complicated sports injuries.

Since getting my degree, I’ve successfully rehabbed people post shoulder, hip, knee and ankle surgery. I’ve been involved with multiple GAA teams at club and inter county level working with adolescents from 13 years and up, and more experienced players, with a few more injuries under their belt.

My approach to my work is simple, regain functional movement as quickly as possible and get my patients back to doing what they love. I use a variety of modalities, including hands on treatments and exercise based rehab.

I’m now pursuing a masters in Performance Coaching through Setanta College, extending my expertise in this area.

I look forward to meeting you and working together to get you fit again.
